I found this old wooden jewelry box in my garage and felt the need to do something with it.
It was a royal pain in the butt to decoupage, mostly because I had to rip off the little metal handles that you use to open the drawers. Then I noticed how ugly the original upholstery was (the drawers were lined with this nasty yellow fabric), so I ripped that out and re-lined them with pink felt.
Then I actually got started decoupaging the thing with old Disney comics, focusing on princesses and heroines.
Disney gals featured include: Belle ("Beauty and the Beast"), Jasmine ("Aladdin"), Ariel ("The Little Mermaid"), Nala ("The Lion King"), Esmeralda ("The Hunchback of Notre Dame"), Pocahontas ("Pocahontas"), Snow White ("Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"), and Penny and Bianca (both from "The Rescuers").
